Mike Blunt - Producer

Born and bred in Hampshire, Mike has a long standing interest in broadcasting, going back as far as making his own radio shows at the age of ten, employing covert use of the play/record and pause buttons on his elder brother’s hi-fi.

Once fully recovered, and after achieving his film degree, Mike was drawn to the big smoke with the aim of total world domination within five years. Finding employment as a runner, he was soon acclaimed as the best tea and toast maker in Soho. The book of his methods, sadly, is still in draft form.

Five years down the line, and with a wealth of experience in writing, directing, casting, and producing in his knapsack, Mike upped sticks from Silk Sound (where he was in-house producer for Silk, Space and The Bridge studios) and joined Shell Like in the Spring of 2004.

Aside from the tea and toast, Mike’s strengths lie in his knowledge of voiceovers and in making the tough scripts work. He has worked on campaigns for both high-end and small-but-sweet clients, with both Hollywood actors and school kids. His aim remains total world domination, but he has lengthened the deadline.

Richard Donaghue – Production Assistant

Richard has been with Shell Like since late 2005, joining after dangerously flirting with the idea of working with pictures during a stint at a nearby (i.e. downstairs) post production facility.

Originally from Leighton Buzzard, Richard completed his film and radio degree at Lincoln in 2004 before cementing his love of all places beginning with ‘L’ and making the move to London that same year.

Richard has had a love for radio production since making his first dramas and documentaries at university, and brings his enthusiasm and knowledge (gathered from working with two of the best producers in the business – pay rise anyone?) to all of Shell Like’s projects.
